Worm gear:

Worm gears are a particularly economic and robust solution for the most diverse of drive applications.

The output shaft is offset by 90° to the drive shaft. In general, a reduction of between 5 and 100 is possible within a single stage.

NO SELF-LOCKING
When dealing with small reductions or gradient angles < 3.5°:
The gear can be spun by the output shaft.

STATIC SELF-LOCKING
When dealing with higher reductions or gradient angles > 3.5°:
The gear cannot be spun by the output shaft from a standstill. However, a running gear can continue to run when switched off. Slow movements are possible in the event of vibrations.

DYNAMIC SELF-LOCKING
In the event of high reductions or high gradient angles > 5.5°:
When switched off, the motor is stopped by the gear.

It is a great option when it comes to securely holding a load. A further advantage of the worm gear is the quiet, low-noise operation.

The drive shaft and the output shaft are on one axis. Consequently, the drive can be easily integrated into a construction in a space-saving manner. The maximum reduction in a single stage is 10; higher reductions can be achieved by using multi-stage gears. The running noise is reduced by using a helical cut reduction. We are able to dimension the output bearing according to your individual requirements.

Spindle gear:

A spindle gear often represents a good solution if a linear movement is required instead of a rotary one.

Depending upon the requirement, we can plan a gear with a taper thread drive or a trapezoid thread drive, with a plastic or a non-ferrous metal nut, with a driven spindle or a driven nut.

Thanks to our long-standing experience, we are fully aware of the problems in terms of wear, running noise, tolerances, interfaces, etc. and are able to offer you the ideal solution.

The fields of application of our spindle drives are highly varied: As a consequence, they move with utmost precision and in almost complete silence: Patient couches at the doctors just as much as a garden gate in the event of frost, rain and dirt. Even though the two drives are completely different, they still have the excellent Langguth quality that achieves the extraordinarily high service life in common.
